- Research activities in the field of virtual acoustic environments in a project funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), which aims to investigate perceptual aspects of human voice characteristics
- Realisation and adaptation of headphone-based virtual environments using dynamic binaural synthesis
- Processing of the work packages, in particular the measurement of the dynamic voice directivity characteristics, the construction and evaluation of the test system, psychoacoustic investigations to determine the perceptual thresholds as well as the technical realisation and the evaluation of the experiment
- Publishing research results as scientifically based publications in English as a basis for your cumulative doctorate
- Independent teaching (4 weekly semester hours; preparation, realisation and follow-up of courses)
Your skills
- University degree (Master's level) in the STEM/technical field
- PhD intention
- Very good knowledge in the fields of audio technology, audio signal processing and auditory perception
- Expertise in the field of virtual acoustic environments advantageous
- Good programming skills (e.g. Matlab, C++, Python)
- Experienced in scientific working
- Very good command of English, both written and oral
- Independent and structured way of working with a strong focus on results
- High research motivation and scientific commitment
