Your area of work
You teach in your area of expertise at Bachelor's and Master's level on the faculty's programmes. You deliver lectures in both German and English. You strengthen the faculty's profile through your research activities and by actively acquiring research funding. You work independently and are prepared to take responsibility.
Your profile
You have a university degree in the engineering sciences or informatics, preferably computer science or electrical engineering, mechatronics or another comparable field of specialisation and you have a doctoral degree in a subject of the engineering sciences at the intersection of informatics and engineering.  You have excellent and designated knowledge in the field of informatics and artificial intelligence from the mechatronical point of view and its practical incorporation in the engineering sciences. One focus of your work so far has been on the areas of data science &  engineering, artificial intelligence, machine learning, autonomous systems and cyber-physical systems and/or loT and IoB. You research and develop progressive models and algorithms in the field of AI, especially in the area of machine learning, to solve complex problems in the engineering sciences and make data-based decisions. You use embedded and interconnected systems to design and develop functions for complex mechatronic systems. Above that, experience in the fields of software structures in industry 4.0, cyber security or equal fields are an advantage. You have prioritised software solutions on microcontroller level in control units, in industrial computing/compact SPS, edge computing systems or industrial automation and communication systems (decentralised/distributed systems) in your work so far. You have at least five years of professional expertise - among which are at least five years outside the sector of higher education.
